Abstract：Against the backdrop of the new era, the transformation and upgrading of China\'s social economy and the iteration of scientific and technological innovation have put forward systematic and compound new requirements for the professional qualities of talents. As the core reserve force for the country\'s innovative development, the quality of professional quality cultivation for college students is related to their personal development, the effectiveness of talent cultivation in colleges and universities, and the high-quality development of the country. This article focuses on the connection between the characteristics of the new era and the cultivation of college students\' professional qualities, defines the core connotation, analyzes the progress and opportunities of practice, provides references for colleges and universities to optimize the education system, helps cultivate high-quality talents, and serves the rejuvenation of the nation.
