摘要:本文描述了一种基于第一性原理研究压电张量的计算方法,并将其应用于四方晶系BaTiO3。使用LDA、GGA-PBE和GGA-WC三个泛函计算了四方晶系BaTiO3在不同方向和应力下的极化强度。四方相BaTiO3的压电张量元d33和d31通过施加应力与极化强度变化量之间的线性关系进行拟合计算。结果表明d33的计算结果小于实验值,而d31的计算结果与实验值吻合良好。此外,该方法不适用于剪切压电张量d15的计算。这项工作提供了一种基于CASTEP模块的压电张量计算方法。

Calculation on the Piezoelectric Tensor of BaTiO3 with tetragonal strture Based on CASTEP Module
Abstract:A calculation method for studying piezoelectric tensor based on first-principles is described and applied for tetragonal BaTiO3 in this work. The polarization intensity of tetragonal BaTiO3 under different directions and stresses was calculated by using three functionals of LDA, GGA-PBE and GGA-WC. The piezoelectric tensor elements d33 and d31 of BaTiO3 were calculated by linear relationship between the applied stress and the changed polarization intensity. It was found that the calculation result of d33 was smaller than the reported experimental value, while the calculation result of d31 was in good agreement with the reported experimental value. Moreover, this method is not suitable for the calculation of d15.This work provided a method for calculating piezoelectric tensor based on the CASTEP module.
