The Study on Luckin Coffee Financial Crisis Coping

Abstract：In the beginning of 2020, the anonymous report released by Muddy Waters revealed the financial fraud hidden behind the rapid growth of Luckin Coffee, which made Luckin a target of public criticism and plunged into the bottom of the financial crisis. Luckin Coffee, once thought to be going out of business, has adopted a series of strategies to deal with its financial crisis and save itself. In 2023, the total net income of Luckin Coffee reached 24.903 billion yuan, an increase of 87.3%, achieving Nirvana rebirth.This paper will deeply analyze a series of coping strategies adopted by Luckin Coffee from the deep financial crisis to the healthy sustainable development track, including optimizing the internal control of the enterprise, equity financing, adjusting the business strategy, improving the new retail model, etc. These strategies make Luckin Coffee achieve fundamental improvement in business model, internal control, governance mechanism, management structure, marketing strategy and other aspects, providing important reference for enterprises facing the same predicament. At the same time, I will predict the future development of Luckin Coffee, find out the possible problems, and help the company formulate more effective and scientific development strategies to promote its steady development.
