一种新的基于多标准决策分析算法的容器调度策略

摘要:Kubernetes是当前主流的开源容器编排调度系统,广泛应用于学术和工业云计算与云原生领域。随着依赖GPU并行计算的算法在云平台中的应用,传统基于单一标准的Kubernetes调度策略无法发挥集群的全部计算性能。KSFC(Kubernetes Scheduling For Computing)是一种新的Kubernetes容器调度策略,目标是优化云计算平台中提供计算服务的容器的调度,提高整个计算集群的资源利用率。与Kubernetes默认容器调度策略不同,KSFC引入了更多的Node节点选择标准。基于多标准决策分析算法,KSFC将所有标准集合于一个决策矩阵中,选择打分最高的Node节点执行计算容器。仿真数据表明,与其它容器调度策略相比,KSFC明显提升了整个计算集群的资源利用率,优化了云计算平台的调度能力,缩短了计算容器的运行时间。

A New Container Scheduling Strategy Based on Multi-criteria Decision Analysis Algorithm
Abstract:Kubernetes is the current mainstream open source container orchestration and scheduling system, which is widely used in academic and industrial cloud computing and cloud native fields. With the application of algorithms that rely on GPU parallel computing in cloud platforms, the traditional Kubernetes scheduling strategy based on a single standard cannot give full play to the full computing performance of the cluster. KSFC (Kubernetes Scheduling For Computing) is a new Kubernetes container scheduling strategy. The goal is to optimize the scheduling of containers that provide computing services in the cloud computing platform and improve the resource utilization of the entire computing cluster. Different from the Kubernetes default container scheduling policy, KSFC introduces more Node selection criteria. Based on the multi-criteria decision analysis algorithm, KSFC collects all the criteria in a decision matrix, and selects the Node node with the highest score to execute the computing container. The simulation data shows that, compared with other container scheduling strategies, KSFC significantly improves the resource utilization of the entire computing cluster, optimizes the scheduling capability of the cloud computing platform, and shortens the running time of computing containers.
