基于光电倍增管的自动增益控制研究

摘要:为提高水下无线光通信系统的信号接收动态范围,本文提出了一种可根据光电倍增管输出信号大小自动调节光电倍增管增益倍数,保持输出信号稳定。分析了光电倍增管模块的内部增益与控制电压关系。完成了光电倍增管自动增益控制系统与控制流程设计并建立了实验环境对系统性能进行了测试。经实验测试表明,该系统能够实现对PMT增益进行稳定调控,实现了50Mbps的传输速率下,信号接收动态范围扩展到19.9dB(-58.4dBm~-38.5dBm)。

Research on Automatic Gain Control Based on Photomultiplier Tube
Abstract:In order to improve the signal receiving dynamic range of underwater wireless optical communication system, this paper proposes a method that can automatically adjust the gain multiple of photomultiplier tube according to the output signal size to keep the output signal stable. The relationship between internal gain and control voltage of photomultiplier tube module is analyzed. photomultiplier tube automatic gain control system and control flow design is completed and the experimental environment is established to test the system performance. The experimental results show that the system can achieve stable control of PMT gain, and realize the transmission rate of 50Mbps, and the dynamic range of signal reception is extended to 19.9dB (-58.4dBm~-38.5dBm).
