Case Study on Supporting College Student Entrepreneurship by Equity Crowdfunding

Abstract：Financing problem is one of the main obstacles to college student entrepreneurship. With the development of internet finance, equity crowdfunding is expected to become a new way to solve this problem. But the realization of crowdfunding for entrepreneurship is subject to a variety of subjective and objective factors. By analyzing the results of a questionnaire survey of 301 investors, with the example of "Flying Elephant" crowdfunded entrepreneurial project，we can draw that the successful factors of crowdfunding include the quality of entrepreneurial project, the strength of crowdfunding platform, the design of crowdfunding scheme, the demonstration of business plan and the existence of lead investor. In addition, from the perspective of financier further conclusions can also be found that equity crowdfunding does not only provide financial support to enterprises, but also reduces financing costs and improve corporate governance mechanisms. The analysis on this case is to make equity crowdfunding play a better role in the support of entrepreneurship，for college students\' references when designing crowdfunding plan.
