基于8字形散射体正方晶格光子晶体完全带隙特性研究

摘要:本文提出了一种基于旋转对称的8字形散射体二维正方晶格光子晶体。利用MIT提供的开源仿真器(MPB)仿真分析了该结构光子晶体的结构参数对完全带隙特性的影响。研究发现,8字形散射体二维正方晶格光子晶体TM模存在较大完全带隙,为基于完全带隙特性设计的滤波器及全反射等提供应用基础;TE模式的完全带隙较小,能带特性更为复杂,为基于能带特性设计的负折射及自准直特性等提供应用基础。通过参数优化获得最大完全带隙宽度0.1028ωa/2πc。当32.3 ≤ εr ≤ 33.5时,存在六条完全带隙。

Photonic band gaps of two-dimensional square-lattice photonic crystals based on 8-shaped scatters
Abstract:A novel photonic crystals (PhC) based on 8-shaped scatters with two-dimensional (2-D) square-lattice is presented. By employing the MIT photonic bands (MPB), the relationship between the structural parameters of the PhC and the properties of photonic band gaps (PBG) are investigated. The calculation results of 8-shaped scatters with 2-D square-lattice demonstrate that the reduction of scatters' symmetry can produce larger number of PBG and broaden the width of PBG only for TM mode, and reversely for TE mode. The peculiarity would meet the distinguish employment of different mode. By optimizing the structural parameters, the maximum absolute PBG 0.1028ωa/2πc is obtained and six absolute PBGs is got at32.3 ≤ εr ≤ 33.5.
