Abstract：There are some disadvantages such as brittleness and high-temperature decomposition in phenolic resin which be used for friction material. It will be bring on potential peril to the safety run of automobile and train,especially to the high-speed and over-loading vehicles. Various latest research progress and methods of phenolic resin toughened and heat-resistant modification has been analysed in detail, the mechanism of modification and application problems were also discussed, and then the development direction of research and industrialization in the future were indicated.

摘要：应用于摩擦材料中的酚醛树脂普遍存在脆性大和高温易分解等缺点，对汽车和列车，特别是高速重载车辆的安全运行带来隐患。本文深入分析了多种改性酚醛树脂增韧及耐热改性的最新研究进展与方法，探讨了改性机理以及应用存在问题，指出了今后研究与产业化的发展方向。
